Tom Allen and Andrew Welch departed from the UK on June 17th, 2007, on an attempt to circumnavigate the globe by mountain bike. This site documents what’s happened since then. In short – a lot!
Our objective remains as it always has – we want to have adventures, experience the unknown, and push our boundaries. The way we’re doing it has changed a lot since we began. A circumnavigation is no longer appropriate – too restrictive, linear, quick. We’ve come to find that the most effective use of a bike is to go slow, and reach parts of the world where no other mode of transport would allow us to go.
